Music For a While Henry Purcell Music, music for a while Shall all your cares beguile Shall all, all Shall all your cares beguile Wond'ring, wond'ring How your pains were eased, eased, eased And disdaining to be pleased Till Alecto free the dead Till Alecto free the dead From their eternal bands Till the snakes drop, drop, drop Drop, drop, drop, drop, drop from her head And the whip And the whip from out her hand Music, music for a while Shall all your cares beguile Shall all, all Shall all your cares beguile Shall all your cares beguile
A most entrancing aria to beguile the while! This is a masterful interpretation by Mr. Jarrousky and skillful accompaniment by Yoko Anura. 👏
The best music never dies...

Samurai > pirates
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Superbe !
first comment from 2022 Im a time traveller
The harpsichord part can be executed more organically...🤔
WSPANIAŁY!...
Magnifique comme toujours avec Phillippe
So good! watch this too: ruclips.net/video/nzOAdAFrc8w/видео.html
Lovely!

A pox on the infamous cur who made that stumbling noise at 1:25
I just heard it too!
Did gcse music two years ago this still slaps
I have heard many versions ... This one is best
Has a hard edge to his voice - prefer James Bowman and most of all Alfred Deller. Invite all to compare, see what you think.
who else came here from GCSE music lol :)
haha me lol
honestly my teacher cares too much much about this crap
@@mohammadanisuzzamanbhuiyan9496 hi
No idea what you are talking about but it sounds pretty gay...
Beautiful!!
I saw this in 'Homegrown Hollywood' back in 2005!
Music for a while Shall all your cares beguile: Wond’ring how your pains were eas’d And disdaining to be pleas’d Till Alecto free the dead From their eternal bands, Till the snakes drop from her head, And the whip from out her hands.
I prefer Alfred Deller .
Deller is certainly great! But this performance is also excellent.
02:38 - 02:45.
mr bean?
TILL I CALAPSE IL BE SPITTING THESE RAPS
His voice was great but the harpsichordist was terrible, constantly bashing and hammering at the instrument and speeding up.
How loud the harpsichord plays depends entirely on the harpsichord. The player cannot change it.
Harpsichord cannot change dynamics due to how the instrument is built, unlike a piano it doesnt have hammers. The changes in tempo are purely ways of phrasing the music
A harpsichord is known for remaining in one dynamic

BEATUFIUL
chapeau...
Wow.
all these people hating on this guy but id like to see them pull this off
movie? whats name ?
nice rendition... but the harpsichord player is waaaay too beaty! no sweetness in her sound....
This piece is not about "sweetness", it's about magic of music and death. Sounds amazing - both hipnotizing and terrifying as it was made by Purcell.
neato.
O , my God! Splendid! God's voice! Thankks a lot!
Awesome..
