    Music For a While Henry Purcell Music, music for a while Shall all your cares beguile Shall all, all Shall all your cares beguile Wond'ring, wond'ring How your pains were eased, eased, eased And disdaining to be pleased Till Alecto free the dead Till Alecto free the dead From their eternal bands Till the snakes drop, drop, drop Drop, drop, drop, drop, drop from her head And the whip And the whip from out her hand Music, music for a while Shall all your cares beguile Shall all, all Shall all your cares beguile Shall all your cares beguile

    A most entrancing aria to beguile the while! This is a masterful interpretation by Mr. Jarrousky and skillful accompaniment by Yoko Anura. 👏

    Superbe ! Il convient aussi d'écouter l'interprétation de Fred Deller enregistrée en guise de testament peu de temps avant sa mort.

      C'est une excellente suggestion que tu fais là pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas le grand Alfred Deller. Philippe Jarrousky a un talent impressionnant et une voix qui vous colle des frissons, n'empêche... personnellement, je préfère justement la version d'Alfred Deller, il y a quelque chose dans sa voix, une petite touche de rondeur, une fragilité que Philippe Jarrousky n'a pas ou a gommé, et qui le rendent plus émouvant. En tout cas pour moi...

    J 'adore Philippe mais là, je trouve qu 'il n 'était pas au top de sa forme vocale. Le trac ? En tout cas , il "déchire " sur Vivaldi, Haendel et Porpora ! Bon ....tant que ce ne sont pas ses cordes vocales qu 'il déchire, tout va bien !😅 Bisous Philippe 😚

    His voice was great but the harpsichordist was terrible, constantly bashing and hammering at the instrument and speeding up.

    • @drbarbarabaker
      @drbarbarabaker 4 года назад

      How loud the harpsichord plays depends entirely on the harpsichord. The player cannot change it.

    • @hugorasenbergyearu6959
      @hugorasenbergyearu6959 4 года назад

      Harpsichord cannot change dynamics due to how the instrument is built, unlike a piano it doesnt have hammers. The changes in tempo are purely ways of phrasing the music

    Purcell avait bien écrit que la musique, pour un moment, trompera tous nos tourments ; elle ne les guérira pas. C'est là la différence essentielle entre art et culture, parfaitement mise au jour par le regard éloquent du contre-ténor Philippe Jaroussky.

  • @Gerwent47
    @Gerwent47 8 лет назад

    @Christian Lorandin, apparemment Philippe Jaroussky, cela n'a pas l'air de le déranger outre mesure. J'aime bien la voix de Philippe Jaroussky, dans cette oeuvre, je trouve qu'il n'a pas les moyens nécessaires pour faire vivre ce chant.
